Description
The Census Seminar Series provides a foundational framework for understanding what the census and the American Community Survey (ACS) are and how they are connected to many aspects of American society, such as civil rights enforcement, federal funding, and political representation. With the support of subject matter experts, we developed these training modules to help community-based organizations, community advocates, and anyone interested in learning more about the census and ACS, understand how these tools are integral to our democracy.
Join us for an informative session exploring The Census and the Role of Congress, co-hosted by Census Counts and National League of Cities. Hear from subject matter experts as they unpack how Congress shapes the census through appropriations, legislation, and the nomination process. We'll also examine current legislative challenges that could impact a full and accurate count in 2030—and highlight meaningful ways you can take action to support a fair and equitable census.
